SMS Consent Script

Before a SchedulingDone customer (an employer) enables text notifications for an employee, they obtain that employee's individual consent using the script below — typically during hiring or onboarding, in person or by phone.

What the employer asks the employee

"[Employer name] would like to send you text messages about your work schedule through SchedulingDone — things like shift assignments, schedule changes, and requests to cover an open or sick-call shift. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to stop receiving these messages, or HELP for help. Do you agree to receive these messages?"

What happens after the employee agrees

Only once the employee has agreed does the employer check the SMS consent confirmation box on that employee's record in the SchedulingDone admin dashboard, which timestamps the consent and enables SMS for that employee. See a screenshot of that confirmation checkbox. No employee is texted before this individual confirmation is on file.
